CRASH Course Overview
Wanting a refresher on your math before returning to school? Hoping to improve your math grade this year? Nervous about your next math course? Come join a week-long CRASH Course in the subject you will be taking next term to help get you a head start.
CRASH Courses focus on reviewing material you will need to know for your upcoming class, and introduces important and often difficult concepts ahead of time to give students a head start.
All CRASH Courses are held online, and have a limit of 10 students

- Solving Single Variable Equations: Evaluate, word problems, checking answers
- Inequalities: Solving, graphing on a number line, writing
- Algebra Foundations: Variables, evaluating expressions, combining like terms, division by zero
- Linear Equations & Graphs: Slope, Graphing, intercepts, inequalities
- Functions: Evaluating, inputs & outputs, equations, domain & range
Trigonometry
Review material:
- Transformations: Euclidean geometry, Translations, Rotations, Reflections, Dilations
- Proofs: Properties, definitions, symmetry, proofs with transformations
- Right Triangles: Pythagorean theorem, proofs, special right triangles, ratios
- Right triangles: Ratios, solving for a side, solving for an angle, sine & cosine
- Trigonometric Functions: Unit Circle, radians, The Pythagorean identity, trigonometric values on the unit circle, graphs of sin(x), cos(x), & tan(x)
Geometry
Review material:
- Algebra Foundations: Variables, evaluating expressions, combining like terms, division by zero
- Linear Equations: Slope, slope-intercept, graphing, writing equations, point-slope form, standard form
- Units: Rate conversion, word problems, unit conversion
- Transformations: Intro to Euclidean geometry, Translations, Rotations, Reflections, Dilations
- Proofs: Properties, definitions, symmetry, proofs with transformations
- Right Triangles & Trigonometry: Pythagorean theorem, proofs, special right triangles, ratios

- Quadratic Functions: Parabolas, factoring, vertex form, the quadratic formula, completing the square
- Polynomial Arithmetic: Intro to Polynomials, average rate of change, polynomial operations,
- Polynomial Factorization: Factoring monomials, factoring higher degree polynomials, G.C.F.
- Polynomial Graphs: Zeros of polynomials, intervals, end behavior of polynomials
Calculus
